Many scammers are very cunning, so being smart is NOT enough to protect yourself. Every day smart subscribers thank us saying they would have been scammed if they didn’t subscribe to ScamBusters. Be careful on social media platforms too.  If you receive a message from someone in your friends group, stating they “can’t believe I fould this picture of you,” or something similar don’t click the link until you talk to that person.  If it’s a phishing link, when clicked will capture you entire firends (contacts) list and allow the same link to be propogated to all you firends to gather email addresses and more which will only increase the amount of spam you receive.
